Overview

For the Recipe Cost project, we designed and built a data-driven platform specifically tailored to help restaurants and food entrepreneurs master their margins. Our UI/UX strategy focused on visualizing complex financial data—such as ingredient fluctuations and operational overheads—into a clean, digestible dashboard. This allows users to instantly assess the profitability of specific dishes, like the "Spaghetti Carbonara" example, without manual calculation errors. On the technical side, we engineered a dynamic calculation engine that accounts for every variable, from raw ingredient costs to "hidden" expenses like packaging, labor, and utility usage. By integrating features for break-even analysis and ingredient breakdown, we provided a powerful tool that empowers F&B businesses to make data-backed pricing decisions and maximize their gross profit effectively.
